
 
 Elizabeth Reidy, MD, FAAP Pediatrician & Physician Owner
Dr. Elizabeth T. Reidy is originally from the northern suburbs of Chicago. She attended the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana, earning a B.S. in Biology and graduating with Distinction. She attended Northwestern University Medical School for her Doctor of Medicine degree and completed her pediatric residency at James Whitcomb Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis.
Dr. Reidy held a Junior Faculty position at the Children's Hospital, splitting her time between caring for special needs children and staffing the local county urgent care clinic for 1 year. She went into private practice in the Chicago area for 8 years before moving to Austin.
Dr. Reidy has practiced in the Austin area since 1998, working for Bee Caves Pediatrics and Northwest Pediatrics. She is board certified and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She lives in Austin with her children, Molly and Peter. Her interests include tennis, Austin music, gardening and hiking.

Susan Hershey, RN, MS, CPNP-PC
Susan Hershey is a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner who has practiced in Austin since 1989. She grew up in Michigan and earned her BS in Nursing from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. She subsequently worked as a staff nurse in pediatric Infectious Disease at Mott Children's Hospital for 2 years. Pursuing her goal of becoming a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, she attended Graduate school at the University of Michigan, receiving a Master's in Parent-Child Nursing. She practiced as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Pediatric Cardiology at Mott Children's Hospital in Ann Arbor, and maintained an Adjunct Professor of Nursing position at the University of Michigan, during her time there, providing clinical instruction and lectures in Pediatric Cardiology for the graduate nursing program.
Ms. Hershey has practiced at several pediatric practices in the Austin area, most recently Cannon Medical Center, where she worked for 13 years. She also had the pleasure of being on faculty at The University of Texas, instructing nursing students in the PNP and FNP programs. While no longer formally teaching, she enjoys precepting students in the clinical setting.
Sue is Board certified in primary care pediatrics by PNCB and Licensed as an Advanced Practice Nurse with prescriptive privileges by the State of Texas. She is a current member of the National Association of Nurse Practitioners and a member of the local chapter.
Ms. Hershey joined Schoolhouse Pediatrics in January 2014. She and her husband have lived in Westlake since 1991 and have four children. She has been very active in the schools and the Westlake Community and is pleased to now be working in this area as well. Her oldest son graduated from The University of Texas Engineering School, and second son is currently at UT studying Geosystems Engineering. Her daughter is also at UT studying Early Childhood Education. Her youngest son attends Westlake High School and is on the Varsity wrestling team.
